Xebec Adsorption Inc. signs a cooperative research agreement with Atlantic Hydrogen Inc.

BLAINVILLE, Canada, October 23, 2007 – Xebec Adsorption Inc. has announced a cooperative research agreement with Atlantic Hydrogen. After five years of research and development on their CarbonSaverTM technology, Atlantic Hydrogen has commissioned Xebec to design and construct their first demonstration unit.

The CarbonSaverTM will reform natural gas through a plasma torch conversion technology, producing ultra-low emission, hydrogen-enriched natural gas or HENG. This HENG can be burned in internal combustion engines, gas turbines and gas appliances without major modifications to existing fuel systems.

“We are pleased to have struck this strategic collaboration with a reputable leader in the natural gas industry,” said David Wagner, president of Atlantic Hydrogen Inc. The engineering and manufacturing skills of Xebec fit perfectly with our needs. They are a highly respected and experienced firm with deep roots in this industry. Since AHI is a newcomer, we believe aligning ourselves with them will provide credibility in this market.”

“We believe the CarbonSaverTM technology has great potential in the natural gas clean energy market,” says Kurt Sorschak, president of Xebec Adsorption Inc. “This innovative technology should be well received in the natural gas market. We look forward to working with Atlantic Hydrogen to develop this clean energy solution, both for this first field trial and beyond.”

The first demonstration of the patent-pending CarbonSaverTM technology is slated to start in the spring 2008. The commercial rollout is scheduled for 2009.
