Xebec Adsorption Inc. completes design and fabrication of a CO2 purification unit

BLAINVILLE, QC (October 30, 2007) Xebec Adsorption Inc. today announced the completion of a CO2 stripper for a new American customer.

The air purification unit which reduces the CO2 content of a dry air stream from 400 ppm to 20 ppm is presently in operation and undergoing stringent performance validation.

This achievement represents another important milestone for Xebec Adsorption, as the company continues to build and expand upon its considerable air and gas drying experience by diversifying into new applications. The completion of this unit, which had to fit a very specific footprint, serves as another example of the company’s skills at developing custom-designed solutions for their growing customer base.

“The means of removing CO2 from an air stream were already available, but we had to fit our solution into a very different and much smaller package. Existing solutions would have involved much larger equipment,” commented Mr. Don Beverly, Xebec Adsorption’s VP of Engineering.

The success of this custom-designed CO2 stripping application is an important achievement for Xebec Adsorption as it serves to strengthen the company’s growing engineering portfolio of adsorption solutions.
