Xebec opens new Shanghai factory to serve chinese and asia pacific markets
Blainville, QC (April 8, 2008) – Xebec Adsorption Inc. today announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in the Songjiang district of Shanghai, China. The factory’s primary purpose is to allow Xebec to better serve its expanding Asian customer base.
Xebec President Kurt Sorschak said “China represents a rapidly growing market for natural gas as transportation fuel. Our new Songjiang plant puts us in an ideal position to offer our Chinese and Asian customers the same world class products and service that our North American customers have come to expect from Xebec. We expect our Chinese facility to capture 20-30% market share after the first three years in operation.”
The Songjiang facility will also help Xebec maintain its competitive edge within the North American market by serving as a supply chain base for the sourcing of high quality, low cost components for the company’s Canadian operation. Added Mr. Sorschak: “Our intention is to make sure we continue to offer our North American customers solutions that make the most sense for them from the point of view of price, quality and outstanding customer service.”
