SUPERVISOR:
Engineering Director

DESCRIPTION:
Improve the productivity of manufacturing activities by providing solutions, check if the technical staff have the support at the time of assembly in the workshop, starting equipment and operating tests. Interventions will be carried out on all the mechanical and control equipment that is an integral part of the products (industrial gas treatment and purification systems) and the manufacturing production equipment of the plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create new parts in the ERP system

  • Create manufactured parts (as a subassembly) in the ERP system

  • Establish, review and structure the standard product "BOM" (Bill of Material) to increase the efficiency between engineering, parts distribution and different workstations

  • Follow-up with Production, following the standards of manufactured equipment, adjusting for missing or surplus parts to create the "Master BOM"

  • Revise engineering drawings and make suggestions to the mechanical team leader to avoid the purchase of parts that are not useful for the project

  • Under the technical coordination of the head of the mechanical team, monitor small capacity NGX and PSA projects (example: H-3200)

  • Maintain the conformity of the drawings (welding, manufacturing, assembly) with the support of engineering

  • Participate and contribute to the choice of manufacturing methods and the improvement of production tools

  • Assure / assume the role of technical interface between the engineering and production teams

  • Track changes with the production team and engineering team

  • Follow up on various files (compliance with instructions, technical answers, non-conformities, procedures, etc.)

  • Ensure continuous improvement of existing production processes while analyzing technical effects in the event that tasks are not completed

  • Inform the supervisor of any deficiencies (non-compliance) or any major issue

  • Any other related tasks assigned by his immediate superio.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technique in Mechanical Engineering or other combination of education and relevant work experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience

  • Oral and written French and English

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with tight deadlines and different levels of complexity

  • Knowledge of drawing software such as Autocad and MS Visio (an asset)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (an asset)
