Job Overview:

Chief Operating Officer

Lead and develop Xebec’s Compressed Air Dryer Business. Assume P&L responsibility and achieve aggressive revenue and profitability targets in fast growing company. Have deep market and product expertise and position Xebec’s products for increasing market share over the next 2-3 years.

Lead a combination of inside and outside sales team and motivate them to achieve sales goals in selling both Capital Goods and Aftermarket parts business. In addition, establish and manage a service organization to generate profitable service revenue. Near term focus is in Canada with plans to expand into USA and Europe progressively.


  • Own revenue and profit goals for the Xebec Compressed Air Business

  • Develop short and medium term strategic and tactical roadmaps to achieve the P&L goals

  • Build the right Sales and Service team to achieve these goals

  • Lead, motivate, and manage Sales team in achieving individual, team, and organizational goal

  • Develop and monitor sales goals, performance objectives and KPIs for all sales and service representatives.

  • Build strategic OEM partnerships to provide secure channels to market for Xebec product

  • Develop and manage Xebec Distributors to ensure revenue and margin goals

  • Prepare and present quarterly and annual sales reports and contribute to forecasts

  • Develop and maintain effective parts and service department processes for optimal customer satisfaction

  • Coordinate and confer with operations staff to resolve operational problems and roadblocks

  • Develop a service organization to support the capital and aftermarket product sales and generate profitable growth

  • Work with Senior Management to evaluate acquisition targets and help in the process of acquisition and integration

  • Work closely with marketing to develop strategic campaigns and initiatives to enhance sales and Xebec brand in the industry

  • Provide critical competitive product insight to product development teams and be an integral part of new product development and launch initiatives

  • Work collaboratively with other business leaders to improve organizational effectiveness and cross function knowledge sharing

  • Represent Xebec in trade shows, speaking engagements and advocacy activity
  • Job Requirements:


  • Engineering degree or a technical background required; Master’s in Engineering and MBA preferred

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Sales and/or Service department or any combination of related experience. Experience in Compressed Air market highly advantageous

  • Minimum of five (5) years of P&L management experience

  • Experience in fusion/acquisition

  • Strategic thinker; detailed oriented; expertise in data analysis and data-based decision making skills

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to organize work

  • Ability to make quick decisions with a minimum of pre-established guidelines while recognizing the accountability of choices

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Willingness to travel when required

  • Must be bilingual (French/English)
